A conductor, Guo was fortunate to know and collaborate with musicians and scholars of the Second Presbyterian Church and Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra to conduct a performance of J.S. Bach's cantata 106 "Actus Tragicus" alongside singers from the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, the Butler choirs, and other local musicians. During the 2025-26 season, she was appointed the Conducting Fellow of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir. She also was the choral department assistant at Butler University and the graduate assistant conductor of Spectra in 2025-26.
Particularly interested in the collaborative process between composers and conductors, Guo has done research on the topic and intends to continue her studies in both areas herself. While an active composer, conductor, and vocalist in Cincinnati, Ohio, Guo continues her musical engagement with the communities in Indianapolis, Indiana, hoping to foster more collaboration across the state boarder and beyond.
